Electrical Engineer (Industrial) :

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical Engineer (Industrial) to join their team!

As an Industrial Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum of activities supporting the engineering and electrical needs of our fleet and operational sites across multiple locations


  • Designing, controlling, and implementing electrical systems for new and existing fleet equipment.
  • Preparing proposals, drawings, and inquiries to meet equipment and project estimating needs.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to meet electrical system design requirements.
  • Executing upgrade project proposals, including pricing, specifications, and drawings.
  • Collaborating with regulatory bodies for approvals related to electrical systems.
  • Liaising with other departments (e.g., mechanical engineering, maintenance, IT) for joint execution of projects.
  • Conducting on-site work at project locations across the USA as directed by the Electrical Engineering Manager.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation within the company's electronic document system.
  • Providing on-call support during and after regular working hours.
  • Conducting repairs and ensuring quality control of electrical equipment.
  • Adhering strictly to safe and compliant work procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering with a proven track record of achievement.
  • Expertise in Electrical Engineering, problem-solving, and analysis.
  • Preferably, experience within the marine industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in drawing design (e.g., AutoCAD, Eplan) and calculation (e.g., Easy Power) software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Initiative-driven, capable of independent decision-making and recommendation development.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills both within and outside the organization.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including to job sites and dredges.
  • Availability for on-call work during off-hours as required.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid in-office/remote environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • You will work on a variety of industrial equipment and systems, including but not limited to:
  • Power Distribution Systems (Transformers, Switchgear, Circuit breakers, etc.)
  • Motor Control Centers (Motor starters, VFDs, Control panels)
  • Process Control Systems (PLCs, HMI systems, SCADA systems)
  • Instrumentation and Sensors (Pressure transmitters, Temperature sensors, etc.)
  • Electrical Safety Systems (Emergency stop systems, Arc flash protection, etc.)
  • Lighting and HVAC Systems
  • Energy Management Systems

  • Familiarity with Industrial Standards (NEC, IEC) and safety standards in industrial settings.
  • Experience in Process Control and Automation (PLC/DCS systems, automation protocols).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
  • Project management skills from conception to completion within industrial projects.
  • Understanding of Hazardous Area Classification and explosion-proof equipment.
  • Documentation skills for electrical drawings, schematics, and compliance manuals.
  • Collaborative ability with cross-functional teams and other engineering disciplines.
