IT Infrastructure and M&A Consultant:

Inceed has partnered with a growing national leader in the electrical infrastructure and engineering industry to help find a skilled IT Infrastructure and M&A Consultant to join their team!

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure and M&A Consultant to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in M&A Playbook development, IT infrastructure integration, workflow creation, and documentation. As a crucial member of our client’s team, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing business processes and ensuring seamless IT infrastructure integration during mergers and acquisitions.

Long-term expectations of the role:
The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of the M&A Playbook, continuously improving its effectiveness and relevance to the organization’s needs. This role will involve keeping up with evolving changes in policies, regulations, acquisitions, and technology advancements, ensuring that our M&A strategies and IT infrastructure integration processes remain ahead of the curve. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for mentoring junior team members and contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization.


  • Develop and enhance M&A Playbook, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the creation of comprehensive workflows for IT infrastructure integration, documenting processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide expert guidance on IT infrastructure integration strategies, ensuring seamless transitions during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing IT infrastructure and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Create detailed documentation for IT infrastructure configurations, systems, and processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve M&A strategies and IT infrastructure.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing M&A Playbooks from scratch, with a strong emphasis on process optimization.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure integration techniques and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating workflows and documentation for complex IT systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and identify creative solutions.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen experience and/or certifications are highly preferred. 
  • Candidates that come from a consulting and/or business process improvement background are highly preferred.

Other Information:

  • This is NOT a fully remote position. 
    • Onsite primarily for 45 days, 2-3 days per week onsite thereafter. 
  • This is a long-term contract opportunity that will be extended after 6 months.
