Sr Analyst Power Settlements

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Sr Analyst, Power Settlements to join their team!

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Power Settlements and is responsible for overseeing processes associated with power and environmental commodity settlements. The primary focus is ensuring all settlement activities, including accrual, actualization, reconciliation, and payment accurately and punctually. Key responsibilities entail calculation, analysis, and reporting power gross margin. This role will work with various departments such as Supply Risk, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounting and Finance to address issues, aid in cash forecasting and variance analysis, and fulfill settlement obligations with ISO (Independent System operators).

Responsibilities:

• Oversee US (ERCOT) power market and environmental settlements reporting, ensuring accurate and timely monthly gross margin reporting to Finance.
• Review and approve all power and environmental invoices for payment, implementing and maintaining procedures for timely reconciliation, processing, and payment for RECs and ISO invoices.
• Identify optimization and cost saving opportunities, enhancing transparency in power cost.
• Interact with external counterparties to resolve discrepancies with internal partners.
• Collaborate with other teams to implement and improves processes and systems supporting the above activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in finance/accounting; Master’s degree in Accounting, finance or business administration preferred, with at least 4 – 6 years’ experience. If no degree, must have 10+ years experience.
• Knowledge of ERCOT market and familiarity with ISOs.
• Strong problem solving skills, business acumen, and ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and business partners.
• Detail oriented self started with strong communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Advance Excel.
• Project Management experience
