Internal Audit II:

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Internal Audit II to join their team!

Our client seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their Internal Audit team at one of the world’s leading global oil and gas companies. As an Internal Auditor II, you will play a critical role in evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across diverse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of auditing principles in the oil and gas industry, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

Execute internal audit engagements across various business units, functions, and geographical locations within the organization.

  1. Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

  2. Assist in identifying key risks inherent in the oil and gas industry and develop risk-based audit plans accordingly.

  3. Perform detailed testing and analysis of processes, transactions, and controls to identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

  4. Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to enhance audit effectiveness and efficiency.

  5. Prepare comprehensive audit documentation, including findings, recommendations, and action plans.

  6. Present audit results to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key issues and providing actionable insights to drive improvements.

  7. Monitor compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations governing the oil and gas industry.

  8. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and emerging risks to ensure audit activities remain current and aligned with industry standards.

  9. Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including business unit leaders, operational managers, and external auditors.

  10. Collaborate with stakeholders to address audit findings, implement recommendations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent is highly desirable.

  2. 3-5 years of experience in auditing, preferably a combination of public and/or internal auditing within the oil and gas industry.

  3. Strong understanding of auditing principles, risk management concepts, and regulatory requirements specific to the oil and gas sector.

  4. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with auditing software, ERP systems, and industry-specific applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.

  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

  6. Analytical mindset, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in large datasets.

  7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
