Senior Oil & Gas Applications Developer Analyst:

Inceed has partnered with an exciting company in the upstream oil and gas space to find a seasoned, Senior Oil & Gas Applications Developer Analyst to join their team!

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oil & Gas Applications Developer Analyst with a strong background in upstream oil and gas applications, particularly in Flowcal, ProCount, Merrick, and/or Quorum. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level proficiency in Python programming, PowerShell scripting, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Transact-SQL (T-SQL). This role will involve designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions to optimize processes and workflows within the upstream oil and gas domain.

Responsibilities:

  • Application Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of custom solutions and enhancements for upstream oil and gas applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.

  • Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate upstream applications with other systems and data sources, utilizing APIs, ETL processes, and middleware solutions as necessary.

  • Customization: Customize and configure off-the-shelf applications such as Flowcal, ProCount, Merrick, and Quorum to meet specific business needs, including data modeling, workflow automation, and user interface enhancements.

  • Data Management: Develop and optimize data pipelines and workflows for efficient data collection, storage, processing, and analysis within upstream oil and gas applications.

  • Reporting and Analytics: Design and develop reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using SSRS and other BI tools to provide actionable insights into production data, well performance, and operational KPIs.

  • Performance Tuning: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance through code refactoring, query optimization, index tuning, and other performance tuning techniques.

  • Documentation and Training: Create technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to facilitate knowledge transfer and support end-users in utilizing upstream oil and gas applications effectively.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software development and analysis, with a focus on upstream oil and gas applications.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, PowerShell scripting, Transact-SQL (T-SQL), and SQL Server.
  • Experience with one of the following upstream oil and gas applications such as Flowcal, ProCount, Merrick, and Quorum is required. 
  • Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and SQL optimization techniques.
  • Experience with SSRS or other reporting tools for designing and developing reports and dashboards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is a plus.
  • Prior experience as a Software Developer with .NET/C# is nice to have.
