Quality Control Specialist
Compensation:
$18-$20 hourly (full-time)
Location: Pryor, OK
Schedule: 6AM-2:30PM 

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Quality Control Specialist to join their team!

Summary:
In-process quality control personnel monitor the assembly of coils and ensures that quality procedures are adhered to. 

Responsibilities:

– Adhere to all government regulations, laws, company policies, and procedures.
– Complete additional tasks as directed by your manager.
– Attend work as outlined in the Employee Handbook or as specified by your manager.
– Collaborate with all departments to create in-process quality assurance policies and procedures.
– Work with all departments within the company to gather information necessary for production and provide documentation to relevant groups.
– Participate in teams aimed at improving the design and functionality of equipment (PDCA, KATA, LMS, and Continuous Improvement Initiatives).
– Collaborate with coil engineers and quality engineers to enhance product quality and machine operation.
– Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as grading, rework, and leak rates, and review the results with Production weekly.
– Input tester grades and review the results with Production weekly.
– Ensure coil shop personnel have the necessary tools, training, and materials for their job functions.
– Work with other Quality Control personnel to ensure equipment and tools are properly calibrated.
– Review rework to assess associated costs and identify frequent issues, implementing corrective actions accordingly.
– Develop training to address issues identified through quality control initiatives.
– Review nonconformances and perform corrective actions, including creating and distributing toolbox talks and training materials.
– Ensure full checks by floaters before sending items to test, including dimensions, air flow direction, intermediate directions, and overall build correctness.
– Ensure Brazing personnel conduct decay tests correctly before coils are sent to test.
– Collaborate with Fin, Tube (cutting and hairpin), and CMS operators to ensure accurate first-run criteria, developing training and troubleshooting materials with the operators and LMS group.
– Spot check quality checklists in various groups (size and quality of ball bearings for expansion, expansion mandrels, turbulator tools, fly cutting and swaging depth, etc.).
– Spot check tubing for physical damage, excess oil, or other contaminants, including checking loose tubing for eddy marks or other manufacturer markings indicating the tube should not be used.
– Monitor all coils in production for obvious defects and perform detailed spot checks (e.g., ensuring coils match measurements before expansion, MPT/FPT gauge tests, go/no-go tests on tube sheets, and distributor, header, and connection spot checks).
– Assist various production groups as needed (Fin, Tube, Build, Expanding, Brazing, Floaters, Test, etc.).
– Review production areas daily to ensure compliance with manufacturing instructions.
– Understand and ensure adherence to CSF and other build documents during equipment assembly.
– Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and working with coil shop personnel on shop cleanliness and surrounding areas.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education: A high school level of education is mandatory for this position in order to continue upward advancement in the company. The employee must be able to understand directions from supervisors and managers, as well as giving out precise and accurate information to all departments. 
 
Experience: at least 2 years in manufacturing
Skills: Ability to use Microsoft product software. Self-motivated. Effective oral and written communication skills. Mechanical & technical aptitude. Alertness & precision working with tools. Basic computer & math skills are required. Knowledge of assembly and servicing of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Ability to communicate in a diplomatic and positive manner at all levels of understanding (entry level to engineering).
