Sr.Engineer (NPD)
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Engineer to join their team!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee new product development (NPD) projects and ongoing improvement efforts.
- Oversee individual projects throughout the entire product development process.
- Design, enhance, and validate HVAC systems using cutting-edge analytical methods and experimental techniques.
- Direct product qualification and compliance testing programs.
- Perform analytical research using advanced simulation tools.
- Ensure design integrity by supporting your calculations and design proposals.
- Offer technical expertise and support to manufacturing, sales and marketing, quality assurance, and supply chain departments.
- Liaise with vendors, customers, and field personnel.
- Deliver presentations to technical and business stakeholders.
- Document product designs by creating bills of material, drawings, and product change notifications.
- Coordinate with regulatory and testing agencies.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 6 years of design and project experience ideally in the HVAC industry.
- Must have relased two or more Product Families.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of thermodynamics, psychometrics fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and heat exchanger design.
- Familiar with computer programming languages, O365 products, and simulation tools.
- Extensive understanding of HVAC system design and applications, with detailed knowledge of component design, integration, and interactions.
- Knowledgeable in the New Product Development (NPD) process, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
- Practical experience with laboratory equipment, test stands, and instrumentation.
- Proficient in industry standards and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in air management, aeroacoustics, and structural analysis.
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques used in the HVAC&R industry.
- Strong understanding of system controls, operational sequences, and electrical wiring methods.
- Acquainted with data acquisition, advanced experimental methods, instrumentation, calibration, measurement systems, uncertainty analysis, and Design of Experiments (DoE) concepts.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- EPA Section 608 Refrigerant – Universal cert is a plus.
- 10 years design & project experience preferred.
- Industrial knowledge on Manufacturing methods used in HVAC
