Compensation: $48-57/hr

SCADA Administrator- Ignition:

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled SCADA Administrator for Ignition to join their team!

This person will be monitoring and maintaining at Ignition systems for the company as well as helping implement Ignition for certain projects.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage Ignition SCADA systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability.
• Develop, customize, and implement scripts in Ignition (Python, Jython) to automate processes, data collection, and system monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to configure Ignition applications and modules to meet specific operational requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Ignition scripting, system configurations, and integration with other enterprise systems.
• Conduct regular system upgrades, patches, and optimizations to enhance system performance and functionality.
• Monitor and analyze SCADA system performance metrics, implementing improvements as needed.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on Ignition SCADA system functionalities and best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a SCADA Administrator, with specific expertise in Ignition scripting.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Jython within the Ignition platform.
• Solid understanding of SCADA system architecture, protocols (OPC, MQTT), and industrial communication interfaces.
• Experience in configuring and optimizing Ignition modules, tags, alarms, and historical data.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
