Oil & Gas SCADA Systems Administrator :
Inceed has partnered with an industry leader in the upstream oil and gas industry to help find a skilled Oil & Gas SCADA Systems Administrator to join their team!
The Oil & Gas SCADA Systems Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the CygNet SCADA system, which is critical to the monitoring and control of our client’s industrial operations. The role involves ensuring the continuous availability, performance, and security of the SCADA system, while also supporting its integration with other IT and OT systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in SCADA systems, particularly CygNet, and have experience in managing large-scale, mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities:

System Administration:
- Manage and maintain the CygNet SCADA system, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and configurations to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability, responding to incidents and resolving issues promptly.
- Implement and manage user access controls and permissions in accordance with company policies.

Data Management:
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and availability of data within the CygNet system.
- Develop and maintain data backup and recovery plans.
- Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to optimize data collection, processing, and reporting.

System Integration:
- Work with IT and OT teams to integrate the CygNet SCADA system with other enterprise systems, such as ERP, GIS, and asset management systems.
- Configure and maintain communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP) to ensure reliable data flow between devices and systems.

Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices to protect the SCADA system from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies related to SCADA systems.
- Participate in security audits and risk assessments, addressing any findings as required.

Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SCADA-related issues to operations and maintenance teams.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
- Train users and stakeholders on the effective use of the CygNet SCADA system.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience administering CygNet SCADA systems or similar SCADA platforms.
- Strong understanding of SCADA system architecture, communication protocols, and industrial automation.
- Experience with SQL databases, scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell), and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices specific to industrial control systems.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience administering oil and gas SCADA systems, as well as prior experience supporting CygNet systems is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the upstream oil and gas industry is preferred.

Other Information:
- This position is NOT remote or Hybrid. Must be willing to be onsite 5 days per week in Fort Worth.
- Some travel required to field offices as needed. No more than once a month for 1-2 days.
