Strategic Account Manager- Electrical Utilities:
Inceed has partnered with a thriving and growing company in the electrical power transmission and distribution equipment manufacturing industry to help find a skilled Strategic Account Manager- Electrical Utilities to join their team!
As a Strategic Account Manager- Electrical Utilities, you will be responsible for managing and growing key accounts within the electrical power transmission and distribution sector. You will leverage your deep industry knowledge and experience to develop long-term relationships with clients, understand their needs, and drive sales of our products and solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and marketing, to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve revenue targets.
Responsibilities:

Account Management & Growth:
- Manage and develop relationships with key accounts in the electrical power transmission and distribution space.
- Identify opportunities to expand product offerings within existing accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales and growth targets.
- Monitor and analyze account performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet goals.

Sales & Business Development:
- Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring alignment with client needs and company objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industry.
- Work closely with the sales team to develop proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure long-term partnerships.

Industry Expertise:
- Utilize your knowledge of transformers, substation equipment, switchgear, and related products to provide technical guidance to clients.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and solutions that align with their business objectives.

Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and marketing, to ensure client needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Prepare and present reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and market trends.

Customer Satisfaction:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing client concerns and providing timely and effective solutions.
- Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the electrical power transmission and distribution industry.
- Proven track record of success in selling transformers, substation equipment, switchgear, or similar products.
- Strong understanding of the electrical power transmission and distribution market, including key players, trends, and challenges.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Background in a similar role requiring prior knowledge of the electrical utility space is nice to have.
- Someone able to pick up new technologies and terminology is a big plus!
Perks & Benefits:
- Fully remote work location!
- 15% Annual Bonus eligibility
Other Information:
- Travel: Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.
- This person would ideally be located in the Midwestern, Western, or Southwestern United States for proximity to clients.
