EHS Technical Writer
Compensation: $30-$40/hour (Direct, Full-time)
Location: Catoosa, OK
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled EHS Technical Writer to join their team!
The EHS Technical Writer is responsible for developing, writing, and maintaining clear and concise environmental, health, and safety (EHS) documentation, including manuals, procedures, training materials, and reports. This role requires collaboration with EHS professionals, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather technical information and ensure that all documents are accurate, compliant with regulatory standards, and easily understood by the intended audience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures. Develop, write, edit, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, manuals, and training materials.
- Assist the HSE Manager and other team members with researching and applying solutions to solve regulatory compliance challenges.
- Work with team members on developing project plans for HSE related improvements. Ensure all HSE documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations.
- Assist in the communication and training of HSE policies and procedures to employees.
- Collaborate with the HSE Supervisor and other team members to enhance HSE performance.
- Conduct risk assessments for both new and existing tasks and equipment.
- Innovating on process improvements and managing actions to completion.
- Investigate HSE incidents, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and maintain records.
- Training and assisting leads, supervisors, and managers with their HSE responsibilities.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- (BA/BS in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field, and 2+ years experience)
- 2+ years of experience in writing HSE policies, procedures, and training development.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field.
