Sr. Database Engineer
Inceed has partnered with a Global Reinsurance company to help find a skilled Sr. Database Engineer to join their team!
In order to support our client’s data management needs, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database applications. You will focus on utilizing advanced technical skills to develop solutions, ensure data integrity, and optimize application performance. As the Sr. Database Engineer, you will collaborate with cross functional teams in order to analyze requirements, design efficient database structures, and implement robust applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and developer database applications
- Ensure user requirements are met
- Adhering to agreed upon timelines
- Provide technical support on SQL Servers
- Monitor database application operations
- Problem solving
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a SQL Server Database Development
- Advanced experience in SQL, including T-SQL
- Advanced experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
- Advanced understanding of data modeling concepts
- Proven experience with developing and optimizing database applications using Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with programming languages (Java, C#, or Python)
- Familiarity with cloud bases databases
- Technical certifications
- Insurance, Reinsurance and Financial Services experience
- LOMA or Business certifications
