Compensation: $115,000-$130,000 + Bonus

Systems Engineer, Microsoft 365

Inceed has partnered with a growing logistics and manufacturing company to help find a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join their team! The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in managing and optimizing cloud-based environments, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem. The Systems Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting our Microsoft 365 services, Azure AD infrastructure, and automation processes through PowerShell scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Microsoft 365 Engineering:

  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and related components.
  • Optimize and maintain the overall health and performance of the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration between Microsoft 365 services and other business applications.

• Azure Active Directory:

  • Manage and maintain Azure AD, including user and group management, SSO configuration, conditional access policies, and identity protection.
  • Implement and support Azure AD Connect and related synchronization services.
  • Develop and enforce security best practices within Azure AD, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), role-based access control (RBAC), and auditing.

• PowerShell Scripting & Automation:

  • Develop, test, and deploy PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks, including user provisioning, reporting, and system monitoring.
  • Create custom scripts to streamline IT operations and improve overall efficiency.
  • Maintain and update existing scripts as needed, ensuring they adhere to best practices for security and performance.

• Security & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies related to Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts related to Microsoft 365 and Azure AD, performing incident response as needed.
  • Participate in regular security audits and assessments, implementing corrective actions as required.

• Troubleshooting & Support:

  • Provide tier-3 support for issues related to Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and associated services.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, networking, and identity management.
  • Document and share solutions for recurring issues, contributing to a knowledge base for future reference.

• Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and IT support staff on Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and PowerShell.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a systems engineering role with a focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory.
  • Proven experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in a professional setting.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based identity management and security best practices.

• Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure AD, including user management, SSO, and security configurations.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, with experience in creating and managing complex scripts.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, Intune, and other related Microsoft cloud technologies.

• Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar are preferred.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
