Service Desk Specialist

Inceed has partnered with a pallet management company to help find an eager and motivated Service Desk Specialist to join their growing team! 

This position requires a proactive problem-solver who can efficiently address and resolve technical issues for end-users while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities: 

  • Technical Support: Provide first and second-level support for IT-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues with printers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, monitors, and other peripherals.

  • Software Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, and other business-critical applications.

  • Active Directory Management: Handle user account management, including creating, updating, and disabling accounts, as well as managing group policies and permissions.

  • Mobile Device Management (MDM): Support and manage mobile devices using Intune, including device configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.

  • PowerShell Scripting: Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate tasks, manage systems, and streamline processes (strong plus).

  • Incident Management: Log, track, and manage service requests and incidents in the service desk ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and communication with end-users.

  • User Training: Provide end-user training and guidance on the use of IT systems and software, ensuring users can effectively utilize technology to meet business needs.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for troubleshooting processes, technical solutions, and user guides.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues, ensuring a seamless support experience for all users.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in an IT Support role with hands-on experience troubleshooting IT hardware and software issues.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Active Directory, including user account management and group policies.
    • Strong experience with Office 365 and Exchange support.
    • Solid understanding of Windows Operating Systems.
    • Experience with Intune for Mobile Device Management.
    • PowerShell scripting experience is a significant advantage.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Customer Service: A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support.

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Relevant IT Certifications
  • Powershell scripting experience
