Compensation: $100,000.00 – $110,000.00

Location: Houston, TX

Position: Senior Accountant – Property

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Accountant – Property to join their team!

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the oil and gas industry and will be responsible for managing property accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations. You will play a key role in managing property-related transactions, performing reconciliations, and preparing detailed financial reports.

Responsibilities:

• Manage property accounting: Oversee property-level accounting for oil and gas assets, including exploration, development, and production.
• Record and maintain fixed assets: Track and update asset records for acquisitions, divestitures, and capital projects.
• Perform month-end close activities: Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare financial statements and reports: Generate property-specific financial statements, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
• Revenue and royalty accounting: Assist in tracking and reporting revenue distribution and royalty obligations.
• Lease operating expense (LOE) analysis: Monitor and review LOE, ensuring proper classification and reporting of expenses.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA  preferred.
• 5+ years of property accounting experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• This position is NOT remote. Candidate must be willing to be in the Houston office 4 days per week.
