Compensation: $130,000 to $160,000

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hyrbid)

Position: Senior Network Security Engineer

Inceed has partnered with a company that is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join a global Information Security team in a hybrid role. This individual will focus on monitoring and securing IT and OT network environments globally, with a focus on Palo Alto hardware and software. The role includes architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of network security systems to enhance the organization’s security posture. The Senior Network Security Engineer will work with IT teams to enforce network security standards and support the Incident Response process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Palo Alto network security deployments.
• Lead efforts to secure IT and OT environments.
• Investigate and resolve security incidents.
• Implement and upgrade security infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain security architecture standards.
• Support regulatory compliance projects.
• Assess organizational security risks.
• Maintain network security documentation.
• Enhance security processes for team efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience with Palo Alto hardware/software.
• Experience securing hybrid and cloud networks (AWS, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and proxies.
• Advanced TCP/IP networking skills.
• Experience with LAN/WAN technologies.
• Familiarity with security log monitoring.
• Understanding of cloud security risks.
• Knowledge of common attack patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Global team collaboration experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: PCNSE, PCCSE, CCNA, CCNP Sec, CISSP, GCIH, etc.
• Project management experience.
• Network/security architecture experience.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (ATT&CK, NIST CSF).
• Experience with regulatory frameworks (PCI, ISO, DFARS, etc.).
