Position: UI/UX Designer
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled UI/UX Designer to join their team!
The Senior UI/UX Designer position is focused on providing operations and staff augmentation for various projects, particularly in the area of web modernization migration. The individual will support the Web Modernization team under the leadership of the Web Modernization manager.
The responsibilities include performing graphic and interface design, developing web prototypes, conducting user research, and implementing UX methodologies. The designer will also create content strategies and information architecture, develop interface pattern design systems, and consult with web developers to ensure good design practices. Additionally, the designer will engage with agency customers to address design and interface concerns, making decisions on moderate to senior-level issues related to front-end design and multimedia.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Over 8 years of professional experience in a UX/UI designer role.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong verbal communication and customer support skills.
- Ability to review and analyze organizational business needs, consult with users for requirement evaluations, and develop project approaches with time estimates.
- Skills in preparing program documentation for new or enhanced systems and applications.
- Experience in user acceptance, regression, and integration testing, along with making necessary adjustments.
- Participation in structured reviews of applications and providing necessary training and support.
- Ongoing analysis and review of application systems and programs.
- Development of process design alternatives for significant application components.
- Designing output formats and user formats based on user specifications to ensure usability and functionality.
- Identifying user interface problems and devising effective solutions.
- Producing relevant UX deliverables for assigned projects, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of applications.
- Creating and maintaining a design pattern library/system aligned with state branding efforts.
- Defining navigation, interfaces, and layouts centered on user needs.
- Producing original wireframes, user flows, and prototypes in line with the state of Oklahoma’s vision.
- Developing interfaces for diverse screen types and user experiences across various devices.
- Conducting usability testing and user research to gather target audience feedback for future design iterations.
- Designing page layouts, visual elements, and typography to create an aesthetically pleasing web interface.
- Collaborating with visual artists and developers to address complex user interaction challenges.
- Working with web developers and accessibility specialists to ensure compliance with Section 508 and basic accessibility requirements.
- Utilizing competitive market knowledge to craft user-centered project proposals that align with state objectives.
- Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to discuss layout, organization, and functionality ideas for digital products.
- Helping to lead the development of the state’s UI/UX design practices.
- Translating client and user needs into simple and intuitive UI experiences.
- Conducting usability testing of various digital tools and applications.
- Creating sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and other tools to clarify information architecture.
- Documenting project design methodologies.
- Developing simple interactive prototypes.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Preference Given:
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with web content management systems, particularly AEM.
