Compensation: $50,000-$55,000

Position:Accounts Payable Specialist

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team!

The Accounts Payable Specialist will have a strong background in upstream oil and gas operations. This role involves overseeing daily AP operations, including invoice processing, coding, and month-end close activities, while driving process improvements and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations to ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Responsible for accurately coding and entering invoices in a paperless environment.
• Implement and execute process standardization, automation, and continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Assist the AP Lead and collaborate closely with Operations to resolve any issues.
• Support AP month-end general ledger close activities as assigned.
• Prepare journal entries as needed.
• Provide support for ad-hoc requests and special projects.
• Assist with audits and address AP-related questions as required.
• Respond to client and vendor inquiries promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of the well lifecycle, including the operational tasks and phases from exploration to abandonment.
• Experience differentiating capital expenditures (CapEx) and operational expenses (OpEx) in the context of oil and gas well operations.
• Proficiency in computing skills, including Microsoft Office, is required.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work with large volumes of data accurately.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to meet established deadlines consistently.
• Experience in upstream oil and gas operations is required.
• Working knowledge of Oracle EBS, Enterprise Upstream, and OpenInvoice is a plus.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Oil and Gas industry experience is highly preferred.
