Position: Accounting Specialist

Compensation: $18-23/hour
Location: Tulsa, OK

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Accounting Specialist to join their team!

This role is essential for managing customer billing and collections, ensuring accurate accounting analysis, documentation, and reporting.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable processes, providing a vital support function within the finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare invoices and maintain accounts receivable records from subsidiaries and external parties.
• Review customer accounts, follow up on outstanding issues, and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Process payments, prepare deposits, and post transactions to accounts accurately.
• Conduct monthly account reconciliations and analyze outstanding items.
• Post patient refunds and manage return checks efficiently.
• Reconcile daily patient revenue and adjustments.
• Prepare and enter monthly general ledger journal entries.
• Prepare audit work papers for property and equipment.
• Manage monthly depreciation entries and related reports.
• Review vendor statements to resolve discrepancies and maintain account accuracy.
• Create ad hoc reports and analyses upon request.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of 12 hours of accounting or similar courses from a state-approved program is preferred.
• 2-3 years of related experience 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong data entry and ten key/calculator skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication abilities.
• General knowledge of bookkeeping principles.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
