Compensation: $160k – $180k / year

Position: Project Controller

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Project Controller to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with a strong background in project accounting and financial analysis. The role offers the chance to work closely with Project Managers, ensuring financial compliance, optimizing project profitability, and managing forecasts and budgets. This position is open due to growth and a commitment to excellence in financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the financial business partner to Project Managers, providing insights and ensuring projects align with financial goals.

• Oversee revenue and cost recognition in compliance with IFRS Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting.

• Develop, maintain, and update financial forecasts, ensuring timely updates to reflect changes in project scope and budget.

• Identify and assess financial risks, proposing mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.

• Prepare and deliver financial reports, including variance analysis, highlighting key performance drivers.

• Conduct in-depth cost analysis, identifying opportunities to improve gross margins and optimize cost control measures.

• Manage and oversee capital expenditures (CAPEX), ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.

• Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial plans and addressing deviations proactively.

• Collaborate with finance, project management, and operations teams to ensure financial objectives are met.

• Ensure adherence to internal policies, IFRS regulations, and maintain strong internal controls.

• Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes related to project management and cost reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project controlling, financial analysis, or accounting.

• Experience in project-based industries such as manufacturing, construction, or engineering.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, particularly POC accounting.

• Proven experience in CAPEX management and financial reporting.

• Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and MS Excel.

• Experience working with ERP systems.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
