Position: Cost Accountant

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Project Controller/Cost Accountant to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for cost analysis and optimization. The position offers the chance to contribute to key financial decisions by analyzing data, evaluating costs, and developing efficient accounting systems. This role is open due to the company’s growth and commitment to excellence in cost management.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activities, including raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.

• Analyze and document data to provide insights for cost management and efficiency.

• Assess changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine cost impacts.

• Prepare regular reports comparing actual costs with standard costs and recommend adjustments as needed.

• Maintain accurate records of cost information to control expenditures effectively.

• Conduct audits of costs and generate detailed reports to support management decisions.

• Collaborate on operating budget preparation and provide cost estimates for new or proposed products and services.

• Identify and recommend strategies to improve cost efficiency in product layouts and operational processes.

• Develop and implement effective cost accounting systems to streamline processes.

• Evaluate real property or equipment for sales, acquisitions, or tax purposes.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience implementing or managing cost accounting systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

• Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments.
