Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Position: Corporate Accountant, Payroll
 
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Corporate Accountant, Payroll to join their team! This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to work in a dynamic environment, handling critical payroll accounting functions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, tax payments, and compliance reporting. This position offers the chance to contribute to process improvements and support financial operations in a well-established organization.
 
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries related to payroll accounting.
• Conduct account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Manage biweekly, quarterly, and annual tax payments and wage reconciliations.
• Process and distribute annual W-2 forms.
• Maintain and update process documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Identify and recommend process improvements for greater efficiency.
• Assist with payment processing, compliance audits, and system maintenance/testing.
• Support customer requests and participate in special projects as needed.

 
Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with accounting coursework.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related position.
• At least 2 years of experience in account reconciliation.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting and financial analysis.

 
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred.
• Experience working with payroll systems and compliance audits.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
