Compensation: $95,000 – $110,000

Location: Tulsa, OK

Position: Senior Accounting Analyst

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Accounting Analyst to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in financial due diligence, supporting acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic purchases. This individual will be responsible for analyzing upstream assets, collaborating with a new operator, and gaining exposure to innovative energy ventures within the company. This role offers significant career growth and the opportunity to work on high-impact financial initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Execute month-end accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and management/SEC reporting.

• Develop, maintain, and present financial reports and analyses to internal and external stakeholders with minimal supervision.

• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and providing clear financial explanations.

• Lead and manage projects with moderate complexity and resource requirements.

• Process and analyze large volumes of financial data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and potential risks.

• Oversee accounting functions related to upstream, solar, and power generation operations.

• Provide accounting guidance for joint ventures, acquisitions, and other business transactions while ensuring adherence to accounting standards.

• Research and resolve technical accounting and reporting issues related to evolving standards and complex financial matters.

• Assist in implementing new and revised accounting standards to enhance financial reporting accuracy and compliance.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
 

Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with a strong accounting foundation.

• Minimum of six (6) years of accounting experience within the energy sector.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively within complex accounting systems and processes.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.
 

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
• Experience with accounting data analytics and automation.

• CPA certification.

• Familiarity with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

• Prior experience in the upstream energy industry.

• Background in public accounting.

• Experience working with senior leadership on financial analysis and strategic decision-making.

• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration abilities.
