Compensation: $100K – $130K
Location: Midland, TX
Position: Software Engineer

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Software Engineer to join their team! This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional with expertise in Python and SQL to work in a dynamic environment within the oil and gas industry. The role will focus on automating data movement, optimizing databases, and supporting business intelligence efforts. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software solutions to automate data exchange between internal and external systems.

• Implement and support robotic process automation (RPA) solutions using Microsoft Power Automate or similar tools.

• Enable and guide citizen development efforts using low-code platforms like Microsoft Power Apps.

• Design and optimize ETL/ELT processes in cloud-based platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.

• Manage and maintain APIs (REST, SOAP) and work with various data formats (JSON, CSV, XML).

• Assist with database architecture, performance tuning, and system integrations.

• Collaborate with business units, vendors, and IT teams to deliver data-driven solutions and resolve system issues.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong expertise in Python and SQL.

• Broad and practical experience in software development and business intelligence.

• Background in oil and gas industry data workflows and applications.

• Ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with RPA tools such as Microsoft Power Automate.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.

• Exposure to API management and database performance tuning.

• Proficiency in additional object-oriented programming languages (Java, C++).

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, with a half-day on Fridays.

• Work Arrangement: 5 days a week onsite in Midland, TX.

• Screenings: Background check and 10-panel drug screen required.

• Relocation: Includes household goods move, closing costs, temporary housing, and a lump sum for homeowners
