Compensation: $30.00/hr.-$32.00/hr.

Location: Can sit in Artesia, New Mexico or Hobbs, New Mexico

Position: Field Technician 

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Field Technician to join their team! This role will involve providing L1 and L2 technical support, including setting up and troubleshooting computers, printers, monitors, and other IT equipment. The Field Technician will be the face of IT in the field, assisting employees at various office and field locations, and will be responsible for managing and supporting company-issued technology.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to drilling teams, operators, engineers, and other local staff, both remotely and in person at the office or on-site.
• Travel to field offices and drilling rigs for support and proactive maintenance of equipment.
• Log support tickets, track tasks, and manage progress via a ticketing system.
• Provision and de-provision IT assets (iPhones, iPads, computers, etc.) for employees.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, networking, AV equipment, and printers.
• Conduct diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and provide technical assistance.
• Update knowledge articles and maintain skills to keep up with technological advancements.
• Manage IT stockroom and maintain asset management database for all local IT equipment.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent training required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Knowledge of iPhones, iPads, and general computer hardware.
• Experience with Microsoft 0365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office).
• Experience using service management software (ServiceNow preferred) or similar ITSM tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and customer service expertise.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Apple Business Manager and Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems.
• Experience in managing IT equipment stockrooms and asset management.
