IT Disaster Recovery Manager
Inceed has partnered with a large, well-established retail organization to help find a skilled IT Disaster Recovery Manager to join their team!
This role is an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader to drive disaster recovery and incident management across a high-impact, enterprise-scale environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in IT project management, infrastructure/application recovery, and cross-functional crisis response—particularly within a retail context. You’ll play a key role in safeguarding the resilience and operational continuity of a business that touches customers at every stage of the omnichannel journey.
Responsibilities:

Lead disaster recovery planning and align initiatives with broader business continuity and risk strategies.

Act as the IT point of contact during crisis events; oversee incident response and recovery efforts in partnership with Crisis Management.

Plan and execute disaster recovery drills, tabletop exercises, and post-mortem reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.

Partner with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to strengthen system resilience.

Develop detailed recovery frameworks, including runbooks, RTOs, and RPOs.

Ensure compliance with regulations like PCI DSS, GDPR, SOX related to IT recovery and data protection.

Communicate disaster readiness, incident summaries, and improvement plans to executives and stakeholders.

Coordinate cross-functional teams during incident responses for cohesive, timely action.

Manage external vendor partnerships and third-party recovery services.

Lead recovery projects from planning through successful execution, managing budgets and timelines.

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and threats to continuously refine DR/IM strategy.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Management, or related field—or equivalent work experience.

7–10 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong background in infrastructure and application recovery.

3–5 years of experience in incident management, ideally within a large retail environment.

Strong understanding of business continuity planning, crisis communication, and recovery exercises.

Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).

Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and replication technologies.

Familiarity with industry standards and tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, etc.).

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills—especially under pressure.

Industry certifications like PMP, CISSP, ITIL are a plus.
