Position: OT Industrial Network Engineer
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled OT Industrial Network Engineer to join their team!
This is an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to contribute to a large-scale Operational Technology (OT) refresh project that is in its early stages. The initiative aims to upgrade the network infrastructure across 285 well sites, with only a few sites completed so far. Once the refresh is complete, this role will transition into ongoing troubleshooting and maintenance of the network across all well sites. The OT Industrial Network Engineer will be responsible for deploying OT network solutions, configuring and maintaining Cisco network equipment, and ensuring seamless network integration in industrial environments. This role involves occasional travel to Ohio for site visits and installations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy network solutions for industrial environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Configure and manage industrial network devices, including Cisco routers and switches.
- Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure at well sites.
- Implement and uphold network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate network solutions with industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and improvements.
- Travel to field locations for network installations and maintenance as needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in an industrial or OT environment.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco networking equipment, including Cisco 1101 and 3400 series.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Ability to travel for 3-4 day trips to Ohio every other month or quarterly.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with upstream oil & gas operations.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial network protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP.
