Position: Control Systems Engineer
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Control Systems Engineer who is passionate about automation, system optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and impactful environment, supporting operations by designing and implementing control systems that ensure reliable performance across multiple facilities. It’s a vital position aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems to streamline automated processes.
- Develop technical documents such as logic diagrams, ladder logic, and control narratives.
- Diagnose system alarms and communication issues, maintaining consistent operations.
- Update and manage system documentation to aid troubleshooting and compliance.
- Work closely with control room and field teams to coordinate upgrades and provide training.
- Tune control loops for process efficiency and equipment longevity.
- Monitor industry trends and ensure systems meet safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage and improve automation systems for pipelines.
- Collaborate with SCADA, I&E, and field communication teams.
- Develop centralized control systems for enhanced monitoring.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 6–8+ years of experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and control networks.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Experience with distributed control systems (DCS)
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Strong knowledge of control programming languages and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience in Oil & Gas or pipeline industries
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Control Systems, Automation, or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with Modbus, Ethernet/IP protocols
- Experience with large-scale system optimization initiatives.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices in control systems.

- Requires occasional field visits and physical activity
- Provide occasional on-call support
- Travel to sites in TX, NM, and OK twice a month
