Position: Civil Designer
Compensation: $25 – $38 /hour
Location: Wallingford, Connecticut

Join a dynamic team as a Civil Designer, where you will play a crucial role in various phases of planning, proposal preparation, and site evaluations. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assist in designing various civil projects including site design and land development
- Contribute to drawing production work and design layout
- Analyze reports, maps, and geologic data for project planning
- Apply design codes and specifications in projects
- Organize and maintain project drawings and information
- Compute volume calculations for site grading and excavation
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers
- Complete design drawings within scope, budget, and schedule
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in drafting technology or related field
- 2 years of related experience required
- Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Excel
- Basic knowledge of civil discipline and design systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assist in designing various civil projects including site design and land development
- Participate in designing roads, storm drainage, and water management systems
- Support initial rough designs and mark-ups on ongoing projects
- Interpret and apply design codes and specifications
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with traffic control and airport facility design
- Understanding of sediment and erosion control
- Familiarity with water and sanitary sewer utility design
