Position: Lead Data Engineering Analyst
Compensation: $150,000 – $170,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Lead Data Engineering Analyst to join their team!
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to lead the development of a cloud-based enterprise data platform. This role is pivotal in driving innovation through modern cloud technologies for the midstream oil and gas business units. Join a dynamic team to architect and implement data strategies that support advanced analytics and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Architect comprehensive cloud-based data architectures
- Develop data models and technical specifications
- Create reference architectures for data ingestion and analytics
- Lead cross-functional teams in data product design
- Collaborate to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Provide technical guidance on cloud data services
- Implement strategies for migrating data platforms to cloud
- Define data integration strategies across systems
- Mentor junior data engineers on best practices
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 7+ years as a Data Engineer
- Expert in Python and SQL
- Experience in dimensional modeling and data vault methodology
- Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with ETL, ELT, Pub/Sub, Streaming, and Change Data Capture
- Familiarity with Python Data Engineering packages
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools
- Understanding of software development practices
- Experience with Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Data Lakehouse patterns
- Knowledge of Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake
