Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Compensation: $65,000 – $72,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team!
Join a dynamic and innovative team as an Accounts Payable Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to work in the heart of Houston, Texas, at the company's headquarters. You will be an integral part of the Operations Accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. This is a chance to contribute to a leading energy producer known for its sustainable and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
- Accurately code and enter invoices in a paperless environment
- Build positive relationships with internal and external customers
- Assist with AP month-end general ledger close activities
- Prepare journal entries as appropriate
- Assist with audits related questions for the AP area
- Respond to client and vendor inquiries
- Contribute to process standardization and continuous improvement
- Vendor management
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Working knowledge of Oracle EBS, Enterprise Upstream, and OpenInvoice
- Associate's degree in a related field
- Experience with process automation and improvement
