Position: Cybersecurity Engineer
Compensation: $55-$60/hr, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team!
Join an innovative clean energy company located in Downtown, where you'll play a pivotal role in establishing their cybersecurity environment from the ground up. As the second member of the cybersecurity team, you’ll work closely with the Cybersecurity Manager to build and secure the infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a sustainable energy startup and be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assist in setting up cybersecurity environment from scratch
- Collaborate with manager to develop security protocols
- Implement endpoint detection and response systems
- Manage access and identity management tools
- Conduct network security assessments
- Develop and enforce email phishing defenses
- Ensure cloud security compliance
- Configure and maintain NexGen firewalls
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 2+ years in Cybersecurity
- 5+ years experience in end user support or infrastructure roles
- Experience with end point detection response
- experience with Microsoft security tools, specifically Purview
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of OT environments and DNS security
- Familiarity with SASE, SSE, and CASB rules
