Position: Controller
Compensation: $200,000 – $240,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Controller to join their team!
Step into a pivotal role where you’ll lead financial reporting, internal controls, and back-office operations for a dynamic trading environment. This is your chance to ensure integrity, accuracy, and compliance in financial processes while overseeing relationships with external service providers.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversee internal control compliance programs
- Coordinate with external auditors for reviews and audits
- Provide technical accounting guidance on IFRS pronouncements
- Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting and HR payroll accounting
- Lead monthly hydrocarbon accounting close
- Ensure timely physical and financial settlements
- Supervise contract reviews and confirmations
- Lead cash forecasting and variance analysis
- Collaborate on finance system improvements
- Manage external service providers
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant certification
- 10+ years in accounting/finance
- 5+ years in commodities trading or oil & gas
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and hydrocarbon accounting
- Proficiency in SAP and RightAngle
- Experience leading teams with board-level presentation skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with system migrations and automation
- Public accounting background
- Project management experience
