Position: Assistant Counsel
Compensation: $95,000 – $113,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Assistant Counsel to join their team!
Join a dynamic legal team at a leading insurance and financial services provider. This is your chance to make a significant impact by providing expert legal counsel across various specialized areas. You'll work closely with the General Counsel, taking on exciting projects that shape the company's legal strategies and compliance. This opportunity arises from growth within the company, offering you a platform to showcase your legal expertise and contribute to innovative insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide legal consultation and advisory services
- Develop and represent legal positions in specialized areas
- Prepare and review agreements with administrators and vendors
- Offer legal counsel on insurance, ERISA, and securities
- Conduct legal research on insurance claim matters
- Develop policies for legal compliance
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Juris Doctor degree
- Strong contract review and drafting experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Insurance experience
- Experience with employment law and agreements
- Familiarity with trademark and bankruptcy law
