Position: Senior Category Manager- Direct Procurement
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Lewisville, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Category Manager- Direct Procurement to join their team!
Join a dynamic organization where you will lead the charge in optimizing procurement strategies for third-party towing-related services. This role offers the chance to shape the future of category management with innovative solutions and strategic supplier relationships. The company is expanding its operations and needs a dedicated professional to ensure excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop and maintain a 3–5 year Strategica Category Plan
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs
- Build strong relationships with key vendors
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with top suppliers
- Lead strategic sourcing events for towing and subletting services
- Negotiate contracts focusing on rate optimization
- Translate strategy into contracts, policies, and execution
- Assess and mitigate risks related to vendor capacity
- Explore innovative solutions like digital dispatch
- Benchmark against industry leaders for service improvement
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain
- Proven ability to negotiate service agreements
- Strong analytical skills for cost evaluation
- Experience engaging with senior leadership
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of towing or fleet operations
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with digital dispatch or GPS tracking solutions
