Position: Payroll Coordinator
Compensation: $20 – $22/hour, depending on experience
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Payroll Coordinator to join their team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to support payroll and compliance processes for multiple projects. You’ll be part of a close-knit team within a renowned company known for its strong culture and supportive leadership. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn and grow within payroll and compliance.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Enter, audit, and submit certified payroll data
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements
- Verify hours, wages, fringe benefits, and job classifications
- Maintain and update Excel tracking sheets
- Perform peer reviews of payroll reports
- Assist with documentation for audits
- Communicate regarding missing or incorrect time entries
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 1–2 years of payroll, accounting, or related experience
- Strong Excel skills: sorting, filtering, formulas
- Ability to write clear, professional emails
- Comfortable working independently
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to learn new systems quickly
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Certified payroll/prevailing wage experience
- Adobe fillable forms/PDF editing experience
- Familiarity with project management software
