Position: Development Supervisor
Compensation: $115,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Inceed has partnered with a stable, growth-focused company to find a skilled Development Supervisor to lead their team!
Are you ready to guide a lean, high-impact development team in delivering scalable and reliable software solutions? This role is ideal for a seasoned leader who can manage a small team, ensure code quality, and position resources effectively while contributing technically when needed. The role also offers exposure to insurance/TPA systems and legacy system integration, making it a unique opportunity for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Manage day-to-day activities of a lean development team, balancing workloads and technical coverage
• Review and troubleshoot SQL and Java code, ensuring correctness and efficiency
• Own development metrics, team performance, and escalated technical support
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve automation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project and operational success
• Facilitate integration between legacy systems and modern applications while supporting ongoing maintenance

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience (or ongoing professional learning)
• Minimum 7 years of software development experience
• At least 2 years supervising development staff
• Strong SQL skills, with ability to read, review, and troubleshoot queries in production and development environments
• Experience with Java development
• Proven ability to organize cross-functional team workloads and prioritize effectively

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with PL/SQL or working in a legacy environment (Oracle Forms, procedural codebases)
• Experience working in an insurance or TPA environment
