Position: Payroll Analyst
Compensation: $20 – $30 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment where you’ll support payroll operations on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per week). This role involves managing multi-state payroll taxes and assisting the payroll specialist. The position is expected to run through February, with the potential to extend into March, and was created to provide additional support during the first quarter of the year. This is a great opportunity to grow your payroll skills in a supportive setting
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Support the payroll specialist in daily tasks
- Manage inbox for multi-state payroll taxes
- Ensure payroll rates are registered correctly
- Conduct state tax follow-up
- Process payroll through Paycom system
- Collaborate with team members in a small office setting
- Assist during the first three months of the year
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with any payroll system
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail in processing payroll
- Ability to work part-time, 4 hours a day and onsite Monday – Friday
- Experience in managing multi-state payroll taxes
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with Paycom software
- Experience in supporting payroll specialists
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations
