Position: Insurance Follow Up Representative
Compensation: $20 – $28 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Insurance Follow Up Representative to join their team!
Join a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring prompt and accurate insurance payments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in a reputable healthcare environment. You’ll be instrumental in managing and resolving insurance claims, contributing to the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Contact insurance companies to confirm claim receipt
- Obtain payment and estimated payment date within 90 days
- Work on correspondence weekly to resolve pending accounts
- Ensure all EDI information is accurate and updated
- Answer inquiries within 48 hours to maximize reimbursement
- Work denials from assigned Remittance Advices weekly
- Document actions taken on encounters promptly
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One year job-related experience in revenue cycle
- Knowledge of third-party reimbursement, including Medicare and Medicaid
- Experience with Medicare online system
- Excellent customer service background
- Good investigative skills and telephone techniques
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Payer portals
- Proven organization skills
- Foundational knowledge of information systems and claims management
