Position: Data Architect
Compensation: $80 – 90 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Data Architect to join their team!
Are you ready to lead enterprise analytical data modeling initiatives and make high-level design decisions? As a Data Architect, you’ll oversee the creation and maintenance of conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring alignment with data quality, integrity, and governance standards. Collaborate with your peers on the data architecture team, business analysts, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver optimal solutions. Mentor and coach other data professionals while influencing the data culture of the organization. This is your chance to guide the definition of processes and technical solutions, aiding strategies and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead development and design of enterprise data models
- Define and implement data standards, policies, and best practices
- Review and optimize data architecture
- Provide data modeling guidance to data teams
- Conduct data quality assessments and recommend improvements
- Communicate and document data models to stakeholders
- Improve business performance through enterprise information solutions
- Assist in execution and support of information strategy
- Create and manage business information models
- Utilize medallion architecture for data modeling and integration
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IT
- At least 2 years in information system design
- 5 years of analytical or contextual data modeling experience
- Experience in designing and implementing information solutions
- Hands-on experience with data and analytics management programs
- Proficiency in MDM, business intelligence, and data warehouse design
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- 3 years of experience in Midstream Oil and Gas context
- 5 years in Upstream or Downstream Oil and Gas, or Utilities context
