Position: Mechanical Designer
Compensation: $56 – 45 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Mechanical Designer to join their team!
This exciting opportunity involves working on diverse projects with a talented team. You’ll be responsible for planning, site evaluations, analytical designs, and preparing mechanical plans. The company offers a dynamic work environment with multiple project types and clients, ensuring a varied and engaging role. This position is open due to growth, offering a chance to impact significant projects.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop mechanical plans and construction documentation
- Produce PFDs and P&IDs from engineer descriptions
- Create plot plans, sections, and details
- Execute design changes and redlines on projects
- Analyze reports and drawings for project planning
- Ensure quality assurance within scope and budget
- Manage project-related information logically
- Communicate effectively with project teams
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in drafting technology or related field
- Minimum 7 years of related experience
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Plant3D, Excel
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D applications
- Strong knowledge in design systems and calculations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with MicroStation and CadWorx
- Experience with geolocated models and plant coordinate systems
