Position: Director of Revenue Accounting
Compensation: $160,000 – $220,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Director of Revenue Accounting to join their team!
This senior leadership role provides strategic direction for the revenue function, ensuring integrity and compliance of financial records. The position operates at a strategic level across the organization, partnering with executive leadership and regulatory agencies while leading a team of managers and accounting professionals.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead revenue department activities and provide managerial leadership
- Oversee indirect tax and regulatory accounting personnel
- Develop and enforce company policies across revenue and tax functions
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
- Set strategic accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure timely filing of production and severance taxes
- Maintain internal controls in compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Drive process improvement through system optimization
- Participate in strategic planning and resource allocation
- Lead hiring, performance management, and employee development
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 12+ years of accounting experience in upstream oil and gas
- 5+ years in a revenue function
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or tax leadership
- Strong knowledge of revenue accounting principles
- Expert in U.S. GAAP and regulatory reporting
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- CPA certification
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 15+ years in upstream oil and gas
- Experience in indirect tax and regulatory compliance
- Experience with new accounting systems and automation
