Position: Senior Marketing Accountant
Compensation: $80 – $95 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Marketing Accountant to join their team!
Are you ready to make a significant impact in the oil and gas industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Accountant who will support the downstream marketing activities of a leading oil and gas affiliate. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely accounting for crude oil marketing transactions, including netback calculations, crude settlement, and month-end close processes. With the potential for contract extension, this position offers a dynamic work environment with onsite work and remote flexibility on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare and review netback calculations for crude oil sales
- Analyze variances and explain significant fluctuations
- Coordinate and execute crude oil settlement processes
- Validate volumes, pricing, and deductions
- Resolve discrepancies with marketing, operations, and counterparties
- Perform month-end close activities for marketing accounting
- Ensure accurate recording of marketing transactions
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to marketing activities
- Support management with ad hoc analysis and reporting
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in oil and gas marketing accounting
- Proficiency in netback calculations and crude settlement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform month-end close activities
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting standards
