Position: Piping Designer
Compensation: $45 – $50 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Piping Designer to join their team!
Join an innovative engineering consultant firm, specializing in natural gas projects. As a Piping Designer, you’ll support mechanical engineers in designing and laying out piping systems for natural gas projects. This role offers a chance to lead diverse projects and make impactful contributions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare planning, proposals, and site evaluations
- Develop analytical designs and construction documentation
- Lead project teams with diverse portfolios
- Produce PFDs and P&IDs from design engineer descriptions
- Plan and develop production work drawings
- Execute piping design assignments using standard techniques
- Analyze reports, drawings, and tests for project planning
- Review design drawings for quality assurance
- Compute calculations for layouts and schematics
- Maintain project-related information logically
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in drafting technology or related field
- Minimum 7 years of related experience
- Advanced design software skills: AutoCAD, Plant3D, CADWorx
- Proficient in 2D and 3D engineering applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Revit software
- Knowledge of piping design codes and specifications
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
