Position: Tax Associate
Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Olathe, Kansas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Tax Associate to join their team!
Join a dynamic finance team as a Tax Associate where you’ll play a crucial role in keeping the organization compliant and efficient. This opportunity offers room to grow and exposure to various tax areas such as R&D, sales tax, and property tax.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Research tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities
- Prepare workpapers for federal, state, and local tax returns
- File sales/use and personal property tax returns
- Manage the unclaimed property process
- Assist with tax audits and responses to authorities
- Prepare tax provisions for financial statements
- Collaborate with the finance team for accurate tax reporting
- Maintain quality standards on all projects
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with tax emphasis
- Minimum of 3 years tax experience
- Knowledge of GAAP and Reporting Standards
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with tax regulations and legislation analysis
- Exposure to different tax areas: R&D, sales tax, property tax
- Experience in a multidisciplinary consulting firm
