Position: Internal Audit Senior
Compensation: $100,000 – $110,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Internal Audit Senior to join their team!
Join a dynamic and growing team in the heart of Houston! This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a newly established Internal Audit function, where you will have the chance to contribute from the ground up and gain hands-on experience with SOX audit from planning through conclusion. The company values a small, tight-knit atmosphere that provides an opportunity for people to have broad responsibilities and to be recognized for individual contributions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead and execute audit walkthroughs and testing of internal controls
- Evaluate business process controls and ITGCs for effectiveness
- Prepare audit working papers summarizing testing and findings
- Proactively interact with management for information gathering
- Support annual SOX scoping, risk assessment, and planning
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of auditing standards and best practices
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems
- CPA, CISA, or CIA required (or actively pursuing)
- At least three years of experience in auditing or related work
- Proven experience in performing and documenting audit procedures
- Strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience in the oil & gas industry
- Solid interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work independently within established audit plans
