Position: Network Engineer
Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Network Engineer to join their team!
Join a dynamic team as a Network Engineer specializing in SD-WAN and Cloud Networking Support. This opportunity allows you to work under the guidance of senior network leadership, ensuring network stability and security across diverse environments. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow and make a significant impact in a thriving company.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide Tier-2 operational support for LAN/WAN/WLAN and security infrastructure
- Assist with administering SD-WAN, including site turn-ups and policy updates
- Support firewall operations and implement approved rule changes
- Configure and maintain Cisco switching and routing for standard changes
- Administer Cisco Meraki environments, including device onboarding and monitoring
- Perform network monitoring and alert triage using approved tools
- Assist with cloud networking operations in Azure/AWS
- Execute routine maintenance tasks and participate in change windows
- Maintain and improve network documentation and participate in on-call rotation
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in network engineering or network operations
- Working knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals
- Hands-on experience supporting Cisco and/or Meraki devices
- Basic understanding of firewall concepts and VPN technologies
- Familiarity with SD-WAN concepts and cloud networking in Azure/AWS
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to close tickets efficiently
- Ability to document changes and communicate status clearly
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, Meraki ECMS1/ECMS2, or PCNSA
- Experience supporting Palo Alto Panorama and/or GlobalProtect
- Exposure to automation or scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
- Experience supporting Zero Trust and SASE concepts
- Professional certifications like CCNP/CCIE, PCNSE, Meraki CMNA/CMNP
