Compensation: $55,000-$60,000
Location: Charlotte, NC
Position: Project Engineer
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Project Engineer to join their team!
This role is ideal for an experienced AV professional who enjoys leading installations from planning through commissioning. You’ll partner with Project Managers, clients, and field technicians to ensure high-quality audiovisual system deployments while mentoring junior technicians and supporting complex commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead AV installations, commissioning, system testing, and quality assurance
- Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, and contractors to execute project plans and site readiness
- Review project documentation (SOWs, BOMs, drawings), provide technical guidance, and mentor installation teams
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of commercial Audio/Visual installation experience
- Hands-on experience with cable pulling, rack building, signal termination, system calibration, and commissioning
- Experience with control systems, DSP programming/integration (Crestron, Biamp, Extron, etc.), videoconferencing platforms, and reading CAD/blueprints
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- AVIXA/InfoComm certifications (CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D)
- Additional industry certifications (DMC, SMART, RCDD, EST, CET, MCSE, etc.)
- Experience leading field teams and training junior technicians
