Position: Jr. Systems Administrator
Compensation: $35 – $50/hour, depending on experience
Location: Denver, Colorado
Inceed has partnered with a growing company in the Oil & Gas industry to help identify a talented Jr. Systems Administrator to join their team!
We’re looking for an up-and-coming IT professional who is ready to take the next step beyond service desk support and further develop their infrastructure and systems administration experience. This individual will play a key role in supporting enterprise systems, hardware, and day-to-day IT operations across a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a collaborative team setting.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Support and maintain servers, enterprise hardware, and core IT systems
- Assist with hardware deployments, upgrades, configurations, and troubleshooting
- Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and Service Desk teams to support system performance and reliability
- Maintain and update technical documentation and internal procedures
- Provide escalated support for technical issues and assist with ongoing IT projects
- Monitor systems and contribute to meeting operational and SLA expectations
- Assist with office setup initiatives and infrastructure-related projects
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of IT experience (helpdesk, desktop support, or junior systems administration)
- Foundational experience with Windows Server administration
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure AD
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 technologies including Exchange Online and Teams
- Basic scripting knowledge, preferably with PowerShell
- Understanding of networking concepts such as VLANs, DNS, and VPNs
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Exposure to virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, Citrix, Nutanix, or AVD
- Basic cloud platform experience (Azure or AWS)
- Experience with backup and recovery tools such as Commvault
- Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions including Dell, Pure Storage, or NetApp
