Compensation: $60-$80/hr (depending on experience)

Position: RF Engineer
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled RF Engineer to join their team!
This is a high-impact role for an experienced RF Engineer who thrives in complex enterprise environments. You’ll design, implement, and optimize multi-site network infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance. You’ll also troubleshoot issues, drive improvements, and collaborate with architecture teams to support long-term scalability and network resilience.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support RF communication systems including microwave, VHF/UHF, and wireless networks for pipelines, production facilities, and remote field operations.
- Perform RF propagation studies, path analysis, and coverage modeling to ensure reliable communication across geographically dispersed assets.
- Engineer and maintain SCADA communication infrastructure supporting critical operational monitoring and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve communication outages, signal interference, performance degradation, and network reliability issues.
- Lead communication infrastructure projects from design through commissioning, including site surveys, equipment selection, vendor coordination, and system testing.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and supporting RF communication systems in Oil & Gas, Utilities, Energy, or other industrial environments.
- Experience with microwave radio networks, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless communication systems.
- Strong knowledge of SCADA communications, including integration with RTUs, PLCs, and industrial control systems.
- Experience performing RF path studies, link budget calculations, frequency planning, and antenna system design using tools such as Pathloss or Radio Mobile.
- Working knowledge of licensed and unlicensed radio technologies, including VHF, UHF, 900 MHz, LTE/private wireless networks, and FCC regulatory requirements.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience designing communications architecture for large-scale pipeline, midstream, or upstream operations and serving as the technical lead on communications projects.
